For Best Results, Drink on Porch.
This light, refreshing drink can be best consumed on the porch in a rocking chair. It is the epitome of relaxation.
Muddle 2 cucumber slices and 1 lemon slice in
1/2 oz simple syrup at bottom of copper mug.
1 oz Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
1 oz Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
Stir. Fill glass with ice and top with club soda.
Note: For large mugs, use 3 cucumbers, 2 lemons, 3/4 oz simple syrup, 1 1/2 oz rum, and 1 1/2 oz ginger liqueur.
The Porch Reviver
Just when you thought it was too hot outside to drink on the porch, The Porch Reviver uses fresh picked blackberries, cucumbers, and rosemary to give a little extra life to that porch life before retreating inside until the fall.
1 1/2 oz Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
4 sprigs of mint
3/4 oz cucumber-rosemary simple syrup
3/4 oz lime juice
Muddle blackberries, mint, and simple syrup in cocktail shaker then add remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into glass with ice. Top with club soda and give a quick stir. Garnish with extra ingredients from garden.
Don't Be Basic
Ditch the pumpkin and embrace the ultimate holiday ingredient: pecan. This cocktail forgoes the sweetness of an actual pecan pie and is drinkable even before the weather turns cold.
2 oz Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
1 oz Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
1 oz El Guapo Creole (Pecan) Orgeat syrup
3/4 oz lemon juice
3 Dashes El Guapo Chicory-Pecan bitters
2 Dashes El Guapo Holiday Pie bitters
2 Dashes Angostura bitters
Stir in glass with ice and strain.
Serve neat (or on the rocks) with a lemon peel.
Sugar, and spice(d demerara), and everything nice make this a perfect boozy holiday sipper.
1.25 oz Barrel Aged Reserve Rum
1 oz Cocktail & Sons Spiced Demerara Syrup
1.5 oz cranberry juice (not cranberry juice cocktail)
0.5 oz coconut water
0.25 oz lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Stir in mixing glass with ice and serve up for a sweet treat with a strong punch or on the rocks for a mellowed down version
Note: this drink scales very easily if you are making a cocktail for a crowd!
